New posts after a WordPress move

After a WordPress move you add posts by asking Lenexa, or through a writer login for your team. How each works and how to choose.

How do I write new posts after moving off WordPress?

It depends on who writes. If you or one person send the ideas, ask Lenexa in your Studio: the Content Writer drafts the post, you approve it, and Deployment publishes it. That's the default and there's nothing extra to sign into. If several people on your team write their own posts, ask for a writer login instead: a small writing area on your site where an admin invites writers. Lenexa asks you which one during the move.

Facts as of October 2026.

Option 1: ask Lenexa (the default)

Write a blog post about how to winterize outdoor faucets, about 800 words, for homeowners in Kansas City. Show me the draft before it goes up.

The Content Writer drafts it in your voice, you review it, and Deployment publishes it with your go-ahead. To keep posts coming without asking each time, set up a routine, like a weekly post every Tuesday.

Option 2: a writer login for your team

Choose this if several people write and publish their own posts. The crew builds a small writing area on your site:

  1. The Lead Developer builds it

Users and drafts are stored outside your public site. The first person gets a one-time link, never a shared password.

  2. You say yes to publishing it

It's a tool people sign into, so Deployment publishes it only with your go-ahead, after checking your host can run it.

    Needs you: give the go-ahead
  3. Deployment sets up the first admin

You get a set-password link that works once and expires within a day. If it expires, ask Lenexa for a fresh one.

    Needs you: set your password
  4. The admin adds writers

An "add a person" page gives each new writer their own one-time link.

What it costs

Building a writing area is a bigger job than a post, so it uses more credits once. After that, posts your team writes there don't use crew credits. Asking Lenexa for a post uses credits each time.
