Routines

Create a routine

How do I set up a routine?

It depends on how you like to work, but both ways take a sentence. Tell Lenexa what should happen and when, like "every Tuesday at 9am, write a blog post about a common plumbing question", and she sets it up. Or open Schedule in the left rail and press New routine. A routine can run daily, on weekdays, on one day a week, every few hours, or monthly, at your local time. Every result is posted to your chat.

Routine: work the crew does on its own at a set time, such as a weekly post or a monthly check, set up once.

Facts as of October 2026.

Ask Lenexa

Every Tuesday at 9am, write a blog post that answers one question our customers ask about plumbing, and show me the draft before it goes live.

Say three things: what should happen, when, and whether you want to approve each result before it's published. Lenexa gives the routine a plain name and assigns the right crew member.

Or start from Schedule

  1. Open Schedule

Schedule is in the left rail. It says: "Work the crew does on its own at a set time."

  2. Press New routine

The message box fills in "Every weekday at 10am, ". Finish the sentence with what should happen and send it to Lenexa.

  3. Or pick an idea

Under Ideas to start with there are four starters: Daily blog post, Friday summary, Weekly site check and Search and AI check.

How often a routine can run

RepeatsExample
Every dayA daily post
WeekdaysA morning check, Monday to Friday
Every Monday (or any day)A weekly summary
Every few hours (1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8 or 12)Watching for something during the day
Every month, on a day from 1 to 28A monthly search pass

Times are in your local time.

Where results go

Every run posts its result to your chat with Lenexa. If the routine publishes something, Deployment still follows the publishing checks.

Routines use credits

Routines are on every plan. Each run uses credits like any other job, so a daily routine uses about seven times what the same weekly one does. The usage panel lists routine work as Scheduled routines under "Where the work went". If your plan credits run out, the run pauses and Schedule shows "Last run paused: out of credits".
