The short version. We collect what we need to run your Studio and bill you. Your sites publish to hosting you own. We don't sell your information. The public website at lenexa.bot, including the Docs, uses analytics and ad tags. Your Studio and your account do not.
Who we are
Website Studio is made by Lenexa.AI LLC, based in Lenexa, Kansas ("Lenexa", "we", "us"). This policy covers the lenexa.bot website, your account at account.lenexa.ai, and your Studio: the private workspace at your own address on lenexa.bot where Lenexa and the crew work for you.
What we collect
- Account details. Your email address, your Studio's name and address, your plan, and your billing status. Your email is also how you sign in: we email you a sign-in link instead of using a password.
- Payment details. Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe, not to us. We keep a record of your subscription, your invoices, and whether each payment went through.
- What you put in your Studio. Your messages to Lenexa and the crew, your briefs, the files and images you upload, the sites and content the crew makes, task cards, routines, and the notes the crew keeps to remember your preferences.
- Logins and keys you save in Connections. For example, your hosting login, so Deployment can publish your site.
- Usage. How many credits each crew member used, and the AI cost behind them, so we can show your usage and bill any on-demand work.
- Problem reports. When you use Report a problem, your Studio sends us your recent messages (up to the last 20), the crew member you were talking to, your Studio's version, your note, and a screenshot if you add one.
- Your mobile number, if you choose texts. Only if you give it and check the box to get text messages. See Text messages below.
- Email sign-ups on lenexa.bot. If you ask for the website-launch checklist or Lenexa emails, we get your email address through Kit, our email-list provider.
- Technical data. Like most websites, our servers and Cloudflare receive your IP address, your browser type, and the pages you request. We use this to deliver the service, keep it secure, and count visits.
Cookies and analytics
Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views on the public website at lenexa.bot, on account.lenexa.ai, and in your Studio. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't build a profile of you.
The public website, including the Docs, also loads Google Tag Manager. Through it we use three tags. They do not run on account.lenexa.ai or in your Studio, and they do not receive what you put in your Studio.
- Google Analytics 4 measures the site: page views and clicks.
- A Google Ads remarketing tag shows Google ads to people who visited.
- The Meta Pixel lets Facebook and Instagram include people who visited in ad audiences.
These tags can collect page views, clicks, and device and browser information, and they can store cookies or other identifiers on your browser.
You can turn cookies off in your browser, or use an ad blocker. You can also opt out at Google Ads Settings, with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, and in Meta's ad preferences.
account.lenexa.ai and your Studio use a sign-in cookie to keep you signed in. The lenexa.bot website also saves a few settings in your browser, like light or dark mode and the plan you were looking at, so the site remembers them.
How we use it
- To run your Studio and do the work you ask for.
- To publish your sites to the hosting you choose.
- To bill you, track your credits, and keep on-demand work within the budget you set, if you set one.
- To send the email you need: sign-in links, receipts and billing notices, and updates from your Studio.
- To text you about your Studio and your account, only if you asked for texts.
- To answer your support requests and fix problems.
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
- To measure the public website, and to show ads to people who visited it.
We don't sell your personal information. We don't use your content to train AI models.
Where your data lives
Your Studio runs on its own server, not shared with other customers. We rent these servers in the United States, mainly from NameHero in its Lenexa, Kansas data center.
Your account and billing records are kept on our account server, rented from NameHero in Lenexa, Kansas.
Your published sites live on the hosting account you own, such as NameHero or any cPanel, SSH, FTP, or WordPress host. That host's own privacy policy covers what it stores.
How the AI crew uses your data
Lenexa and the crew are AI. To do a task, your Studio sends the text, files, and screenshots that task needs to an AI model. We reach these models through OpenRouter, which routes each request to the model's provider, such as Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google. On Pro and Business you can choose the model for each crew member. On Starter, we choose.
Where we can, we send requests under terms that don't let the model provider train on them or keep them after the request is done, and most of the providers we use work this way. Some providers may keep requests for a limited time under their own terms, for example to check for abuse.
The crew can also use a web browser and terminal on your Studio's server, which we call the Computer. When you ask the crew to work with another service, like your host, your WordPress site, or an ad platform, they send that service what the task needs.
Logins and keys you save in Connections stay on your Studio's server. They are made available only to Deployment, the crew member who publishes, to use for the work they are meant for. Your Studio never shows a saved password or key back to you or in chat.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run Website Studio. Each gets only what it needs:
- Stripe, for payments and the billing portal.
- Postmark, to send our email from [email protected], such as sign-in links and Studio updates.
- Cloudflare, for DNS, secure connections, protection against attacks, and web analytics. Traffic to lenexa.bot, account.lenexa.ai, and your Studio passes through Cloudflare.
- Google (Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4, and Google Ads), on the public website only, to measure the site and to show ads to people who visited. Google gets page views, clicks, device and browser information, and cookies or other identifiers. It does not get what you put in your Studio.
- Meta (the Meta Pixel), on the public website only, so Facebook and Instagram can include people who visited in ad audiences. Meta gets the same kind of visit data. It does not get what you put in your Studio.
- OpenRouter and the AI model providers it routes to, to do the crew's work.
- NameHero and other hosting providers in the United States, which supply the servers.
- Kit, for the lenexa.bot email list, only if you sign up.
- Twilio, to deliver text messages, only if you ask for texts. It gets your mobile number and each message, only to deliver them.
We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect people or the service from harm, or as part of a merger or sale of our business. In that case this policy keeps applying to your information.
Our team's access
Our operations team can sign in to your Studio's server to keep it running, install updates, and help when you ask for support. Actions taken from our operations console are logged. We look at your content only when we need to for these reasons, or when the law requires it.
Emails we send
Some emails are part of the service: sign-in links, notices about your account and billing, and replies from support. We send ours through Postmark from [email protected]. Stripe may also email you receipts and payment notices.
Your Studio can also email you when a preview is ready, when the crew needs you, and when a site goes live. These are on by default. You can turn each one off in your Studio's Settings or with the link in any of those emails.
If you joined the lenexa.bot email list, every email from it has an unsubscribe link.
SMS / Text messages
Texts are optional, and you don't need them to buy. When you order a Studio on lenexa.bot, or later in your account at account.lenexa.ai, you can give us your mobile number and check a box to get texts about your Studio. We only text you if you do both.
What we collect. Your mobile number and a record of your consent: the exact words you agreed to, when, where you agreed, and the IP address and browser you used. We keep that record as proof of your choice, including after you opt out.
Why. Account notifications only: setup help and important updates about your Studio and your account. We don't send marketing texts. Message frequency varies, typically a few messages a month. Msg & data rates may apply.
Sharing. We never sell your mobile number or your text message consent. No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. To deliver our texts, our messaging provider, Twilio, receives your number and each message and uses them only to deliver them.
Opting out. Reply STOP to any text and we'll stop. You'll get one text confirming it, then no more. You can also turn texts off at account.lenexa.ai. Reply HELP for help, or email [email protected]. Our SMS terms have the details.
How long we keep it
We keep your Studio's data while your service is active. If you cancel, your Studio keeps working until your renewal date. Then the service ends, and its server, with everything on it, is deleted. If a payment fails and isn't fixed, we may suspend your Studio, and later end the service and delete its server. Your published sites stay on your own hosting either way.
We keep account, billing, and invoice records for as long as we need them for tax, accounting, and legal reasons. We keep problem reports and support emails for as long as we need them to help you and improve the service.
Security
Each Studio runs on its own server with a firewall and password logins turned off. Our team signs in with dedicated keys. Connections to lenexa.bot, account.lenexa.ai, and your Studio are encrypted. No system is perfectly secure, so if you think something is wrong, email [email protected].
Your choices and rights
You can see and change your plan, billing, and email settings at account.lenexa.ai and in your Studio. To get a copy of your personal information, correct it, or delete your account, email [email protected] from the address on your account. We'll confirm it's you and reply within 30 days.
Depending on where you live, including some US states, the European Union, and the United Kingdom, you may have more rights over your personal information, such as the right to object to some uses or to complain to a data-protection authority. We'll honor those rights where they apply.
Children
Website Studio is for adults. It isn't meant for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think a child has given us information, email [email protected] and we'll delete it.
Using Website Studio outside the US
We're based in the United States, and the service runs in the United States. If you use it from somewhere else, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States.
Your site's visitors
The sites the crew builds are yours, and they run on your hosting. You're responsible for your own site's privacy policy and for any information your site collects from its visitors.
Changes to this policy
We'll post any changes here and update the date below. If a change matters, we'll email you before it takes effect.
