What does "Needs you" mean, and what should I do?

It depends on what the crew stopped for. Needs you means a card is waiting on something only you can give: a login, an approval, a detail, or a few minutes on the Computer. Open the card, read what the crew asked, and answer it. Logins go in the secure login card or Connections, never in the chat. The crew can't continue that card until you answer, though other cards keep moving.

Needs you: the status of a card the crew stopped on because it needs your answer or your approval.

Facts as of October 2026.

Where you see it

  • The Board. In the left rail, Board shows how many cards need you. The board has four columns: Queued, In progress, Needs you and Done.
  • The top bar. A pill says how many cards need you, or that you're all clear.
  • The chat. When a card stops, Lenexa posts a line saying who needs you and why. If the same card stops for you a second time, she tells you again.
  • Pop-ups. A short notice like "Lenexa needs you" with the card name and an Open button.
  • Email. With My crew needs me on in Settings, we email you, but only after 10 minutes and only when the Studio isn't open.

Answer a card

  1. Open the card

Click it on the Board, or press Answer on the card under the chat. It shows What was asked and What the crew reported.

  2. Answer it

Type what the crew needs in Your answer and press Send answer. You'll see "Sent. The card is back with the crew."

  3. Or use the button it offers

Some cards have Approve, Open Connections or Open the Computer instead. Use the one that fits.

Never paste a password into the chat

The answer box says it too: "Logins go under Connections, never here." Logins saved in the secure login card or Connections go straight to Deployment and never show up in any chat.

In Lenexa's updates

When Lenexa reports back, a Needs you part lists what is waiting: decisions, with the options and her pick, and review lists, with how many items and where they are. Answer in the chat in your own words.
