Which specialist does what?

It depends on the step, and Lenexa assigns it for you. The Website Designer builds the look and the pages. The Content Writer writes the words. The Lead Developer builds working features like forms and booking. The Marketer works on search, local results and AI answers, and runs ads on Business. Deployment publishes to your hosting. Every plan has all five. Each one sticks to its own job, so for example the writer never publishes and the designer never changes your hosting.

Facts as of October 2026.

Website Designer

Templates, layout and brand. The designer builds your pages so you can click through them in Preview before you approve.

  • Works from your photos and logo. It has no image generator, so without your photos it uses a drawn illustration or a labeled placeholder.
  • Leaves publishing, hosting and domains to Deployment, and never tells you a site is live.
  • Doesn't build owner or admin pages, or pages where visitors set a password. Those go to the Lead Developer and Deployment, with extra checks.

Content Writer

Copy, pages and blog series. The writer writes in your voice from what you tell it and what is already on your site.

  • Never invents quotes, facts or customer reviews. If it needs a real detail, it asks.
  • Keeps drafts in a private folder that is never published.
  • Doesn't publish, send or post anything itself.

Lead Developer

Builds the working parts: contact and quote forms, booking, stores, portals and sign-ins. It also runs WordPress moves, see how a WordPress move works.

  • Keeps visitor data, like form entries, outside the folder that gets published.
  • Builds sign-in tools so the first person gets a one-time setup link, never a shared password.
  • Works only on the card it was given.

Marketer

Search, AI answers and local results: page titles, sitemaps, structured data, files that help AI assistants read your site, and plain-language reports. On Business, it also runs ad campaigns.

  • Ads start only after you save an ad account under Connections and approve a budget on the card.
  • Never buys links or promises a ranking.
  • Doesn't publish. Deployment does.

Deployment

Publishes to your host over cPanel, SSH or FTP, then checks the real address. See what Deployment checks.

  • Publishes only after your go-ahead.
  • Uses the logins you save in Connections. You never paste them into the chat.
  • Doesn't change your domain's DNS, buy anything, send email or restart services it wasn't asked about.
